The petition of Jonathan Waliza, Andrew Walize and Elias Waliza minor children of Amos Waliza, late of Centre County decsd by their mother, respectfully represents that the petitioners are under the age of fourteen years and have no guardian person legally authorized to take charge of their persons and estates, they therefore pray the court to appoint some suitable person their guardian for that purpose. ?? will pray ?? INDENTURE Peter McClain to W & M Walizer (William & Michael, Amos's two youngest brothers) October 8, 1855

This indenture made the eighth day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty five between Peter McClane of Hamburg, Clinton County, and Elizabeth, his wife of first part and William Walizer and Michael Walizer both of Hamburg, Lamar Township, Clinton County of the other part. WITNESSETH that the said Peter McClane and Elizabeth his for and in consideration of the sum of Two Hundred and Fifty dollars lawful money of the United States to them in hand paid by the said William and Michael Walizer, at and before the ensealing and delivery of these presents the receipt and payment whereof they do hereby acknowledge and thereof acquit and forever discharge the said William and Michael Walizer, heirs, executors and administrators by these presents have granted bargained, sold, aliened, en..... released, and confirmed and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell,????,???? release and confirm unto the said Michael and William Walizer and to their heirs and assigns all that certain Messuage and lot of grand situated in the village of Hamburg before said bounded on the north by lot No. 20 east by Fishing Creek, South by the House and lot of Nathan Maurer now in the possession and occupancy of John Zervey and having a front on the Main Street of some 41 feet and known on the general plan of said town as lot No. 19 and the said lot having been divided, a part thereof say about twenty five feet fronting on the said Main Street and extending East one hundred feet, was by deed of conveyance executed by said McClane and wife, sold to Nathan Maurer, the intention of this indenture being to sell and convey to William and Michael Walizer all that portion and remainder of said Lot No.19 not heretofore sold and conveyed to said Nathan Maurer. The whole of said lot No. 19 being originally sold and conveyed to Jacob Best under a deed dated July 23, 1848 to William Brownlee, who by indorsement dated February 1, 1851 sold the same to said McClane which and ???? endorsement is duly recorded in the office of Record of Clinton County. Together with all and singular, the buildings, improvements, rights, liberties, privileges, henditaments and appurtenances whatsoever, thereunto belonging, or in anywise appertaining, and the ???? and remainders, rents ussues and profits thereof; and also all the estate right title interest, property claims and demand whatsoever of them the said Peter McClane and Elizabeth his .... in law as equity as otherwise however, of, i n, to or out o the same. To have and to hold the said messuage and lot of ground hereditaments and premises hereby granted or mentioned or intended so to be with the appurtenances unto the said William and Michael Walizer, theirs and assigns. To the only proper use, benefit and behalf of the said William and Michael Walizer heirs and assigns forever. And the said McClane his heirs, executors and administrators do hereby convenant promise grant and agree to and with the said William and Michael Walizer theie heirs and assigns, by this presents that the said McClane and his heirs the above mentioned and described premises hereby granted or mentioned or intended so to be with the appurtenances unto the said William and Michael Walizer their heirs and assigns against the said Peter McClane and his heirs and against all and every other person or persons whomsoever lawfully claiming or to claim the smae shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents. In witness whereof the said parties to these presents have hereunto interchangeably set their hands and seals the day and year first above written

She the said Elizabeth being of full age and by me separately and apart from her said husband examined and the contents of the said indenture being by me fully made known to her, on her said private examination she declared that she voluntarily and of her own free will and accord and without any coersion or compulsion of on the part of her husband, did sign and execute the same. Andrew Jackson Walizer Obituary Lockhaven Republic, died 11/8/1908
Andrew J. Walizer, a veteran of the Civil war and a resident of Howard, passed away at the home of his daughter, Mrs. I.K. James, Sunday morning at 10:30 o'clock. The deceased had been a suffer of rheumatic troubles for the past 15 years and for four weeks previous to his death was confined to his bed. Saturday evening he suffered an appopletic stroke resulting in his death at the time mentioned.

Mr. Walizer, a son of Amos and Elizabeth Walizer, was born at Mackeyville, December 16, 1842, being aged almost 66 years. For some years he was a resident of Cedar Springs and followed the trade of millwright and sawyer. In 1880 he moved to Howard but for some years operated a saw mill in the northern part of the state. His health having failed he returned to Howard. During the Civil War he served his country in Company E, Forty-ninth P.V.1, and at the time of his death was a member of Grove Brothers post, No. 262 of Howard. His church membership was held with the Lutheran congregation.

On January 11 1861 he was married to Nancy Jane Wooding (sic) of Perry county, who survives him with the following children: Samuel A., Syracuse, N.Y.; Eber J., Houtzdale; Charles A., Mrs. I.K.James, Mrs. O.L. Smith, Howard; Emery, of Jersey City, and Mazy at home. Two brothers, Alias (sic) and Jonathan, who reside in Kansas, also survive.

The funeral was held from the home of his daughter this afternoon, Rev. W.W. Rhoads officiating. Internment in the Howard cemetery.

WALIZER - On Sunday night Mrs. A.J. Walizer died at the home of her son Charles, in Howard, after an illness of some weeks. Her maiden name was Miss Nancy Jane Wooden, and she was born in Blair County in 1847. In 1864 she was married to A.J. Walizer and ever since had been a resident of Centre county. Her husband died two years ago but she is survived by the following children: Samuel A. and Charles A., of Howard; Eber of Houtzdale; Mrs. I.K. James os Ireland, W.VA.; Mrs. Carrie E. Smith, of Altoona; Mrs. D. M. Noel of Turtle Creek, and Emery, of Jersey City, N.J. The funeral was held on Wednesday, burial being made at Howard.

Obituary  of Scott Anthony Walizer in Lock Haven Express, Lock Haven, PA, Wed. Nov. 20, 1936
Funeral services for Scott Anthony Walizer, 68, were held Tuesday at the home At Smullton and burial was made at that place. Mr. Walizer died last Saturday at his home. Born in Tylersville, he was a member of the Methodist Church, and during his active years, was a cobbler. Survivors are his wife and four sisters: Mrs. Rachael Gentzel, Gleasonton; Mrs. Jennie Confer, Spring Mills, R.D.; Mrs. Bertha Solt, Erie, and Mrs. Emma Spangler, Howard.

Obituary of  Bernadine E. Walizer in the Lock Haven EXPRESS
     Bernadine E. Walizer, 84, formerly of Salona, died Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2005 at the Lock Haven Hospital Extended Care Unit.
     She was born Nov. 26, 1920 in Rauchtown, the daughter of the late DeLoss and Florence Bixel Ramsey. On June 15, 1940 in Trout Run, she married Charles H. Walizer who survives in Mill Hall.
     She was a 1938 graduate of Mill Hall High School. She was first employed by Sylvania, and then by the Lock Haven Wire Mill. She retired in 1985 after 18 years of service as a nurses’ aid at the Lock Haven Hospital.
     She was a member of the Salona United Methodist Church. In her younger years she participated in area softball leagues with the Salona softball team.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter Kay E. Brungard (Richard), of Casa Grande, Ariz.,; a son Charles W. “Biff” Walizer (Becky) of Mill Hall; two sisters, Lois Crawford of State College, and Shirley Wells (George) of Lamar; two brothers, Charles Ramsey (Doris) of Mechanicsburg, and Donald Ramsey (Clarice) of Gardners; nine grandchildren and one great-grandaughter.
     Funeral services will be Friday, Sept. 9, 2005 at 2 p.m. at the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home Inc., 231 High Street, Flemington, with the Rev. John Welshans officiating. Private burial services will be in the Cedar Hill Cemetery, Mill Hall. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday from 1 p.m. until the time of service.
