4. Robert (Emigrant Dr.)2 Calder (Alexander1) was born in 1692 at Asswanley, Parish of Glass, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. He married Hannah Lawrence, daughter of Daniel Lawrence and Hannah Mason, on 3 Feb 1719/20 Charlestown, MA by Rev. Joseph Stevens. He died circa 1746 at At sea. He was buried at Cape Breton Island, Canada.
He was surgeon Royal Navy, wigmaker. He lived at east side of Back St. (now Warren). Will. He emigrated in 1710 from Boston, Charleston. In 1758 Durrell says died at Siege of Louisburg, but age calcs of children indicate more like 1746.
Hannah Lawrence was born on 17 Feb 1699/0 at Charlestown, Middlesex (now Suffolk) County, MA. She died on 25 Nov 1758 at Charlestown, Middlesex (now Suffolk) County, MA, at age 58. She was buried on 1 Dec 1758 at Phipps St. Burial Ground, Charlestown, MA reads "widow of Robert, 59 y." Will. Estate Appraisal on 24 Jul 1759.

He married Anna Estabrook, daughter of John Estabrook and Prudence Harrington, on 25 Dec 1759 Charlestown, MA. He died on 15 Sep 1802 at Charlestown, MA. He was buried at Phipps Street Burying Ground, Charlestown, 66.
Minute Man, lost house and property when British burned Charlestown, recompensed L338. Commanded Charlestown Artillery Company which inaugurated custom of celebrating Bunker Hill Day. Military service Bunker Hill, Major 3rd Division, battle fought on his land, resigned his commission 2/16/1798, see letter in Wm Calder book. He was Mechanic, military engineer, Painter, glazier, soldier, patriot, learned trade from uncle Daniel Lawrence. Took part in Boston Tea Party, Friend of Paul Revere. Master Mason, King Solomon's Lodge. In 1775 Moved to Lexington while Charlestown burned temporarily. He lived in 1780 at Original home on Warren Street, near Chelsea St. burned, rebuilt new home, later built a house with store attached on Main St. near Thompson Sq in Charlestown. In 1800 Sold 4 acres to Navy Yard.
Anna Estabrook was born on 11 Feb 1738/39 at Lexington, MA. She died on 12 Apr 1823 at Charlestown, MA, at age 84. Intestate. On 12 Apr 1823 her death listed in RI Vital Records.

Mary Maris Hurford was born on 23 May 1838 at Lancaster, PA. She died on 21 Apr 1928 at Lancaster, PA, at age 89. She was buried at Woodward Hill Cemetery, Sec. 17, Lot 3, Lancaster, PA. Subject along with sister Anna M. of oil painting previously owned by Mary and Ellen Appel. Census 1900 PA, Lancaster, 119 North Lime St.
