He was Certificate from Darby, Eng., Minister in Society of Friends, member of Chester Monthly Meeting. Springfield named for the spring on his property. He emigrated in 1683 from With Wm Penn and his wife and 6 children. He was Justice of the Court, Chester Co. He lived on 30 May 1684 at 1,000 acres Patent from Wm. Penn "Home House" Springfield Township, Chester (Delaware) Co., PA.
