_Henry Honey_ | | | |-- Elizabeth Honey | | |_Elizabeth Weymouth_ Elizabeth HONEY was probably baptised on 5 May 1823 at Morrice St. Wesleyan, Devonport, Devon, England. Henry and Elizabeth HONEY had also baptised a daughter Elizabeth there on 3 July 1820, I assume this older sister died. 1881 census When William Hayes Watson arrived in Plymouth, Joseph and Elizabeth Marshall were proprietors of a lodging house at 50 King Street. Rooms were one shilling or sixpence a night or beds were a penny (about 20 to a room). William apparently made a good impression as she encouraged the marriage, in 1877, although Sarah Jane was then 16. (The older sister was already married) In November 1880, William passed through Melbourne working as a Ship's Carpenter. In the census of 1881 both Joseph and Elizabeth Marshall and their son in law, William were proprietors of lodging houses in Plymouth. William went ahead to Melbourne and Sarah Jane followed in 1883 on the John Elder with her two surviving children, William Joseph and Elizabeth Jane - their passage cost 46 pounds. Sarah Jane brought a painting of her mother with her to Australia. footnotes:
