Late 16th century house with important staircase and panelled rooms.
Built for Sir John Meres beteen 1587 and 1628, it is brick with stone quoins and is three storeys high. The best feature in the house is the beautifully carved staircase.
The home of the Nevile family from the 17th century - Sir Henry Nevile is the present owner.
