Adelaide V. Stevenson

     Adelaide V. Stevenson was born circa 1842 at New York; Adelaide Stephenson was aged 8 and living with William Tryon and his wife Sarah in 1850. Since it is known that their daughter Paulina married a Stephenson/Stevenson, Adelaide is presumed to be their granddaughter.^1,2 She was the daughter of (?) Stevenson and Paulina Tryon. Adelaide V. Stevenson married Oliver Smith, son of Eli B. Smith and Laura Hawks, in 1860 at Franklin Co, New York; Adelaide Stevenson was of Brushton, upon their marriage.³ Adelaide V. Stevenson died on 24 November 1932 at Chateaugay, Franklin Co, New York; Mrs. Oliver Smith was 90 years old, survived by two daughters and two sons: Mrs. Ella Bowditch, Mrs. F.C. (Lena) Card; Henry B. and Eli Smith.^4,2 She was buried at East Side Cemetery, Chateaugay, Franklin Co, New York.^2,4
