     Merrill Hackett was born circa 1852 at New York.1 He was the son of Allen Hackett and Rosetta Jones.1 Merrill Hackett died on 9 August 1915.2 He was buried at Sheldon Cemetery, Ellenburg Depot, Clinton Co, New York.2
     He appeared on the census of 18 April 1910 at Altona, Clinton Co, New York; Merrill was aged 54 and living with others.3
