Amos Sharpe was born on 29 September 1769 at Cecil Co, Maryland. He was the son of Thomas Sharpe Jr and Mary McFerrin. Amos Sharpe died on 9 March 1837 at Iredell Co, North Carolina, at age 67. He was buried at Snow Creek Methodist Church Cemetery, Iredell Co, North Carolina.
