     Semira Sharpe was born on 12 April 1799 at Iredell Co, North Carolina. She was the daughter of James McCoy Sharpe and Elizabeth Black. Semira Sharpe married Waters Holland at Iredell Co, North Carolina. Semira Sharpe died on 2 February 1881 at Wilkes Co, North Carolina, at age 81. She was buried at New Covenant Church Cemetery, Wilkes Co, North Carolina.
     She appeared on the census of 9 July 1870 at Rock Creek, Wilkes Co, North Carolina; Miry Holland, 71, living with the family of Elisha C. Hall, 37, Emily C., 39, and their children.1
