Margret Lavina Byers was born in June 1826 at North Carolina.1 She married Roberson Cloer, son of Elisha Cloer, circa 1839 at North Carolina. Margret Lavina Byers died after 21 June 1900 at Iredell Co, North Carolina.
To this point (1993), there has been no definite connection to the Byers of Iredell County, although it is most assuredly there. In 1809, papers show Thomas, Robert, Joseph, James Smith, Jane, Amelia Byers, married sisters Esther Falls and Polly Simonton gave to Washington Byers, their youngest brother, 386 acres of land, as their father had not provided for him before his death. While Falls and Washington were names used often in this part of the county, I feel strongly Lavina was related to this family.
