Dovie Rebecca Cloer

     Dovie Rebecca Cloer was born on 22 July 1861 at Iredell Co, North Carolina. She was the daughter of Roberson Cloer and Margret Lavina Byers. Dovie Rebecca Cloer married Charles M. Bower circa 1884 at Iredell Co, North Carolina; Charles and Dovie had been married 26 years.¹ Dovie Rebecca Cloer died on 17 June 1922 at age 60. She was buried at Trinity Methodist Church, Statesville, Iredell Co, North Carolina.
     She appeared on the census of 28 January 1920 at 212 W. Front Street, Statesville, Iredell Co, North Carolina; Rebecca Bowers, aged 50, "mother-in-law", was living with Clyde Lazenby, 29 and his wife Mattie, 27.²
