     James Washington Cloer was born on 26 November 1870 at Iredell Co, North Carolina.1 He was the son of Falls Washington Cloer and Almeda Sharpe. James Washington Cloer married Jacqueline Benge on 24 February 1900 at Yadkin Co, North Carolina; e-mail from [email protected], 19 Jan 2002. James Washington Cloer died on 5 September 1940 at Statesville, Iredell Co, North Carolina, at age 69; Parents were listed as Flake Cloer and Media Sharpe.2 He was buried on 7 September 1940 at Holy Spings Baptist Church, Harmony, Iredell Co, North Carolina.3
     He appeared on the census of 21 April 1930 at Turnersburg, Iredell Co, North Carolina.4
