     Thomas M. Cloer was born in 1826. He was the son of Berry A/R Cloer and Rainey Hester. Thomas M. Cloer married Sarah Addie Vaughn circa 1854. Thomas M. Cloer married Mary A. Julian on 19 December 1869 at Iredell Co, North Carolina. Thomas M. Cloer married Jane Barnhart on 14 June 1906 at Cool Spring, Iredell Co, North Carolina.1 Thomas M. Cloer died on 19 September 1912. He was buried at Gays Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery, Statesville, Iredell Co, North Carolina.
     Thomas M. Cloer, aged 71 years, married 30 years to Mary A. Julian. Mary had been the mother to 4 children, but only two were still living.2 He appeared on the census of 21 April 1910 at Chambersburg, Iredell Co, North Carolina; Thomas Cloer was 81, widowed, and living with his daughter, Raney's family.3
