James Cannon

     James Cannon was born on 9 August 1762.¹ He married Ann Black, daughter of William Black and Rebeckah (?), on 29 July 1790 at Mecklenburg Co, North Carolina.¹ James Cannon died on 17 December 1837 at Cabarrus Co, North Carolina, at age 75.¹ He was buried at Poplar Tent Presbyterian Cemetery, Concord, Cabarrus Co, North Carolina.¹
     On 21 February 1810 when William Wallis Black, James McCoy Sharpe and James Black sold their interest in a 1500 acre tract of land in Cumberland, Tennessee to Joseph Allison and James Cannon - James was of Cabarrus County. Further research needs to be done there for these descendants.²
