     Frederick Lord Scott was born on 2 October 1891 at Burke, Franklin Co, New York.3,2 He was the son of Asahel H. Scott and Emily Sarah Collins.2 Frederick Lord Scott married Amy Winifred Smellie, daughter of David Stirrat Smellie and Georgiana Caldwell, on 28 April 1920 at Dundee, Huntingdon Co, Quebec.1 Frederick Lord Scott died on 6 June 1924 at Fort Plain, New York, at age 32; Fred L. Scott, of Malone, was killed when he fell from a New York Central train near Fort Plain about noon yesterday. His body was found beside the tracks and is now in an undertaking establishment at Fort Plain.4 He was buried at Dundee, Huntingdon Co, Quebec; Fred L. Scott, son of Mr. and Mrs.
A. H. Scott, of Huntingdon, and brother of Mrs. Frank Helm, of Chateaugay, lost his life in an accident last week. Mr. Scott has been employed as a carpenter in Malone, and last week was notified to go to Albany to be examined by the Veteran's Bureau for the purpose of obtaining compensation from the federal government. On the train he began to feel ill and went out to get fresh air. Evidently a dizzy spell
caused him to lose his balance and he was thrown from the moving platform. When picked up near Fort Plain he was dead.
Mr. Scott was a carpenter in the
employ of Duffin & House, of Malone.
He was an expert in his line and served as foreman on construction work. He had been in the employ of the company for the past three years, but due to poor health last winter he spent several months in Florida.
Mr. Scott served in the army during the world war and he attributed his poor health to military service. The funeral on Sunday at Dundee was largely attended, many from this section motoring to the service to pay their last respects. He is survived by his widow and one son Harold, his parents, two sisters, Mildred, of Huntingdon, Mrs.
Frank Helm, of Chateaugay, and
three brothers, Walter, of Burke, Albert, of Boston, and Henry, of Albany.5
     On 5 June 1917, His draft registration indicates he was was born in Burke, NY, was a carpenter, worked for Wilson Co., in Concord, MA.3
