Charles DeMoulpied was born in April 1857 at England.1 He married Nellie A. Tryon, daughter of James William Tryon and Eliza Deveno, on 6 January 1876 at Lowell, Middlesex Co, Massachusetts; Charles was aged 23 and Nellie was aged 18, married by Rev. James A. Bates.1,2 Charles DeMoulpied died on 22 May 1929 at Hillsborough Co, New Hampshire, at age 72; Burial record indicates he was 75 years 1 mo and 17 days old, and died of valvular heart disease.3 He was buried on 2 June 1929 at Pine Grove Cemetery, Manchester, Hillsborough Co, New Hampshire; Records indicate he was buried in Lot 3707 in Chapel Lawn.3
He appeared on the census of 1880 at Lowell, Middlesex Co, Massachusetts; Charles Demowfield, 25, born England, keeps a tin shop, Nellie, 22, born NY, Clara, 3, born Canada, and Walter, 2, born MA.4 As of 1880, Charles DeMoulpied was also known as Charles Demowfield.4 He appeared on the census of 9 June 1900 at Harrison Street, Manchester, Hillsborough Co, New Hampshire; Charles W. DeMoulfried, 3, Nellie, 39, Clara, 23, Walter 21, Mabel L., 19, Lizzie E., 17, and Charles Kenneth, 1, along with a roomer and a boarder, as well his in-laws, James Tryon, 76, and Eliza, 68.5 He appeared on the census of 21 April 1910 at Merrimack Street, Manchester, Hillsborough Co, New Hampshire; Charles W. DeMoulfried, 56, born England, Nellie A., 52, married 34 years, had six children, five still living. In the household were Mabel L., 29, b. MA, Elizabeth E., 26, b. MA, Kenneth E., 11, b. NH and Eliza Tryon, mother-in-law, 78, widowed, born NY. Out of seven children, Eliza had four still living.6
