     Harold Smith was born on 10 May 1894 at Brushton, Franklin Co, New York.2,1 He was the son of Ambrose Smith and Elizabeth Earle.1 Harold Smith married Gertrude Carville on 30 March 1922 at Massena Methodist Church, Massena, St Lawrence Co, New York.2 Harold Smith died on 6 September 1970 at Massena Memorial Hospital, Massena, St Lawrence Co, New York, at age 76; Harold served in World War I and was a retired tool and Die marker.2 He was buried on 8 September 1970 at Carville Cemetery, Helena, New York.2
     He appeared on the census of 1920 at Massena, St Lawrence Co, New York; Herbert, 28, Harold, 25 and Ivan (Irvin), 20 were all boarders in the Arthur Tebo household.3
