     Isabella Cornan was born on 7 April 1849 at Grand Isle, Grand Isle Co, Vermont; The obituary actually says she was born Grand Isle, "Quebec".1 She was the daughter of John Cornan and Elizabeth Fraser. Isabella Cornan married Albert Irvine Covey, son of Alfred Melville Covey and Jane Nokes Longeway, on 9 May 1872 at St Patrick's Catholic Church, Hogansburg, Bombay, Clinton Co, New York.2 Isabella Cornan died on 15 March 1917 at Lincoln, Lancaster Co, Nebraska, at age 67; Transcript of her obituary indicates she was the d/o John H. and Elizabeth Corning, b. Grand Isle, VT 7 Apr 1849. The family moved to Chateaugay, NY when she was four and she lived there until her marriage in 1872. She was a member of the Free Methodist Church in Lincoln, Nebraska. Upon her death, besides her four surviving children [listed in her husband's obit], she left two sisters, Mrs. Mary Lagar of Minneapolis, MN, and Mrs. Katherine Cook, of Watertwon, NY.3,1
     She appeared on the census of 1880 at Richmond, Chittenden Co, Vermont; Isabella Covey, 30, b. Canada, sister-in-law, as well as her three children, Henry, 4, Cora, 3 and Mary, 1 were all living with Benjamin Covey and his family. Albert Covey was not listed with them.4
