     Carroll L. Dow was born on 8 January 1871 at Coventry, Orleans Co, Vermont.2 He married Sarah Bell Scott, daughter of Robert Dent Scott and Florence Emily Rexford, on 5 January 1891 at Coventry, Orleans Co, Vermont; They were married by R.N. Olds, Baptist Minister of Newport.1
