     Walter Amasa Scott was born on 25 May 1885 at Newport Centre, Orleans Co, Vermont.1,2 He was the son of Robert Dent Scott and Florence Emily Rexford.1 Walter Amasa Scott married Carrie Mae Willis on 11 August 1909 at Newport Centre, Orleans Co, Vermont; Walter was listed as a butter maker, aged 22.1,3 Walter Amasa Scott died on 4 December 1967 at Pasadena, Los Angeles Co, California, at age 82.1
     He appeared on the census of 17 January 1920 at Newport, Orleans Co, Vermont; Walter A. Scott, b. Vermont, and wife Carrie M., b. Vermont, both 32 years old. His father was said to be born in Canada.4 He appeared on the census of 1930 at Pasadena, Los Angeles Co, California; Walter A. Scott, 43, Carrie M, 44, Roberta M., 9 and sister Sarah Dow, 57. Walter had been married about 20 years, and his sister Sarah shows about 39 years. Walter's parents were listed as born Canada-Eng, and NY. All were listed as born Vermont.5
