     Joseph Pilet was born on 31 March 1674 at Boucherville, Quebec.1 He was the son of François Pilet and Françoise Loisel.1 Joseph Pilet was baptized on 3 April 1674 at Boucherville, Quebec.1 He married Jeanne Fortier on 1 February 1700 at Lachine, Ile De Montreal, Quebec; Joseph's parents were listed as Francois Pillet and Francoise Loysel, of Longueuil, his father being deceased. Joseph was a residenty now of Lachine. Jeanne Fortier was daughter of Louis Fortier and Marie Magdeleine Moison of Lachine. Neither were able to sign. Witnesses included Jean Drapeau Laforge and Toussaint Raymond.1
