Marguerite Danis

     Marguerite Danis was born circa 1698.¹ She was the daughter of Honoré Danis and Catherine Brunet. Marguerite Danis married Charles Francois Raimond, son of Toussaint Raimond and Barbe Pilet, on 24 November 1721 at Lachine, Ile De Montreal, Quebec; Charles Raymond, aged 23, voyageur of Ville-Marie, and Marguerite Danis, 23, of Lachine declared they could not sign. Present was Francois and Joseph Raymond, brothers of the groom; Pierre Pilon, Mathieu Pilon, and Thomas Pilon, "cousin germain maternal", or first cousins of the groom on his mothers side. They were all residents of Pointe-Claire.¹
