     Madeleine Fontaine was the daughter of Etienne Fontaine and Marie Conille. Madeleine Fontaine married Jean Pépin, son of Antoine Pépin dit Lachance and Marie Teste, on 30 October 1703 at St-Jean, Isle-de-Orleans, Quebec; Present at the marriage were Gabriel Thibierge of St-Jean, and Pierre Asselin of St-Jean. Jean Pepin was of Ste-Famille and Madeleine was of St-Jean.1
