     Bartholomew Fortescue was born circa 1486 at Filleigh, South Moultry, Devonshire, England. He was the son of John Fortescue and Jacquet St. Leger. Bartholomew Fortescue married Ellen Moore, daughter of Maurice Moore and Agnes Pollard, before 1517 at Mount Drake, Devonshire, England.1 Bartholomew Fortescue died on 12 September 1557 at England.1
