     Jeffrey Clayton Ball was born on 12 September 1956.1 He died on 16 March 2011 at Hickory, Catawba Co, North Carolina, at age 54;
Obituary: Jeffrey Clayton Ball, age 54, of Troutman, NC, formerly of Catawba, NC died on Thursday, March 17, 2011 at his residence. Born September 12, 1956, in Iredell County, he was the son of Geraldine Hager Miller of Troutman and the late Charles Guy Ball. Jeffrey served as a Field Artillery Crewman in the US Army, where he received the National Defense Service Medal. He was a former member of Mt. Anderson Baptist Church and a member of American Legion Post #16 in Newton. Jeffrey worked as an electrician for Southern Furniture Co. Jeffrey was preceded in death by his father. Survivors include his mother, Geraldine Hager Miller of Troutman; son, Sgt. E5 Jason Ball of Catawba; sisters, Diane Goodman of Troutman and Kathy Yost, and husband, Steve, of Rockwell; brother, Robert Bob Ball of Statesville. The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 20, 2011 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the chapel of Drum Funeral Home in Conover. A graveside service with full military honors will be held Monday, March 21, 2011, at 10:00 a. m. at Salisbury National Cemetery in Salisbury, NC. with Rev. Frederick M. Archer officiating. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association of NC, PO Box 27985, Raleigh, NC 27611. Visitations: 2:00PM to 4:00PM on Sunday, March 20th, 2011 Cemetery: Salisbury National Cemetery 501 Statesville Blvd. Salisbury, NC.2 He was buried at Salisbury National Cemetery, Salisbury, North Carolina.2
