     Nathan Smith was baptized on 1 July 1710.1 He was the son of Ephraim Smith and Mary Ramsdell.1 Nathan Smith married Rebecca Bixby on 26 August 1737 at Haverhill, Essex Co, Massachusetts.1 Nathan Smith married Mary Simonds in 1785.1
     Nathan moved to Shirley from Leominster about 1750 when he bought land there. In 1755 he sold thi sland to his brother Ephraim of Shrewsbury.1
