     George Lyman Covey was born on 2 February 1880 at Quebec.1,2 He was the son of Gilbert Henry Covey and Mary Amanda Smith.1 George Lyman Covey married Avis Lilla Bishop on 14 September 1906 at St. Johnsbury, Caledonia Co, Vermont; George was 24 and it was his 1st marriage - he was a papermaker.3 George Lyman Covey died on 29 November 1965 at Lancaster, Coos Co, New Hampshire, at age 85; George L. Covey was aged 85 years.4
     He appeared on the census of 16 April 1930 at Lunenburg, Essex Co, Vermont; George Covey, 49, Avis, 39, Archie, 19 and Gordon, 15, both sons born NH.5
