Berton E. Covey was born on 11 April 1885 at Cambridge, Lamoille Co, Vermont.1 He was the son of Benjamin Reynolds Covey and Hannah Cook.1 Berton E. Covey married Selma M. (?).
Berton E. Covey was also known as Albert Covey.2 He appeared on the census of 1910 at White River, Windsor Co, Vermont; Albert A. Covey, 25, Selma M., 24 and father Ben Covey, 56. It seems as though Benjamin must have been going back and forth between Albert's house and Harmon,'s in New Hampshire, as they both list him in the census enumeration for 1910.3 On 10 September 1918, Albert Covey, 33, was living at 12 Prospect Street, White River Junction, VT, and worked for the Railroad when at registered for the draft there. He listed his wife as Selma Covey, and he had blue eyes, brown hair.4
