Mary Curtis

     Mary Curtis was born circa 1831 at St Lawrence Co, New York.¹ She was the daughter of Daniel Curtis and Rebecca Salls. Mary Curtis married Platt Palmer in 1851.² Mary Curtis died on 16 November 1919 at Ogdensburg Hospital, Ogdensburg, St Lawrence Co, New York; "Mary died November 16, 1919, in a psychiatric hospital in Ogdensburgh, NY. It's a rather sad story... After the death of her husband, Platt, Mary went to live with her only surviving child, Horace, who had moved his family to South Dakota. This didn't work out well, as Mary was developing (what we would now recognize as) Alzheimer's disease.^3,1 " She was buried on 18 November 1919 at Brookdale Cemetery, Lot 23, Section A, Row 3, Brookdale, St Lawrence Co, New York.¹
