John Thomas was born circa 1600 at England. He married Tabitha Charles.1 John Thomas died on 15 December 1671 at New Haven, New Haven Co, Connecticut.1 He was buried at New Haven Green Cemetery, New Haven, New Haven Co, Connecticut; John would have buried in the Center Church on the Green's cemetery, but there is no gravestone. The very early stones were removed to make way for the building of the churches. The graves were not moved and many lie beneath the churches.
He left a will on 4 January 1670; John Thomas's will mentions wife Tabitha, daughters Elizabeth and Tabitha, daughter Sarah Wilmot's children (unamed), sons Daniel, John, Samuel and Joseph. It was witnessed by William Peck and Roger Alling. The inventory was taken 19 Jan 1672 by Roger Alling and John Cooper and totaled 176 pounds, 6s, 6d.2
