     John Salls was born in 1810 at Noyan, Missisquoi Co, Quebec; "the day and month unknown" on the baptism.1 He was the son of Isaac Salls and Elizabeth Crawford. John Salls was baptized on 19 August 1854 at Clarenceville, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.2 He married Eunice Curtis on 24 March 1830. John Salls died on 19 December 1870 at Clarenceville, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.3 He was buried on 21 December 1870 at St George's Anglican Cemetery, Clarenceville, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.3
     He appeared on the census of circa 1821 at Clarenceville, Rouville Co, Quebec; John Salls, farmer, b. Canada, Episcoplian, 43, Eunice, 42, Franklin, 19, Letitia, 17, Matilda, 8, Charlotte, 5.4
