     Ira Flagg Fadden was born on 30 August 1821 at Noyan, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.1 He was the son of Comfort William Fadden and Nancy Scott. Ira Flagg Fadden was baptized on 29 August 1832 at Clarenceville, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.2 He married Lucinda Patterson, daughter of Frederick Patterson and Nancy May, on 31 December 1846 at Alburgh, Grand Isle Co, Vermont.3 Ira Flagg Fadden died on 13 October 1906 at age 85. He was buried at Erie Village Cemetery, Erie, Whiteside Co, Illinois; Lot #8, Sec A.
     He appeared on the census; The family was of Sutton in 1851. He appeared on the census of 1881 at Stanstead, Stanstead Co, Quebec; Enumerated as Ora Fadden, 59, Lucinda, 53, Emma J., 20, Lizzie, 10, Charles W., 12, and Gertie A., 9. All were Wesleyan Methodist.4 In 1888, Ira and his wife, Nancy moved to Erie, Illinois. In 1903, they moved in with their son, Charles, in Prophetstown, Illinois.5
