Robert Hicks was born circa 1578 at England.1 He married Margaret (?) before 1603 at England.1 Robert Hicks died on 24 May 1647 at Plymouth, Plymouth Co, Massachusetts.1
In England, Robert was a Fellmonger (dealer in skins & hides of animals, esp. sheepskins).
Robert Hicks came to America in 1621 on the "Fortune". In the 1623 Plymouth division of land, "Robart Hickes" was granted one acre as a passenger on the Fortune, and his wife and children were granted four acres as passengers on the Anne.1 He left a will on 28 May 1645 at Plymouth, Plymouth Co, Massachusetts; It was probated 15 May 1648, naming "son Ephraim, grandchild John Banges, eldest son Samuel, wife Margaret, and gives 50 aces to John Watson, among other bequests."2
