Nathaniel H. Dewey

     Nathaniel H. Dewey was born on 1 January 1838 at Hinesboro, Vermont.² He married Permelia Salls, daughter of James Salls and Maria M. Tryon, after 1860 at New York.¹ Nathaniel H. Dewey died on 3 July 1862 at Fort Monroe, Virginia, at age 24; Nathaniel had enliste in Oct 1861 from Dickinson, New York, in Company H, 92nd NY. He was wounded in the Battle of Fair Oaks, Virginia and died at Fort Monroe, where he is also buried.²
