William C. Fadden was born on 7 September 1792 at Albany Co, New York. He was the son of John Fadden and Catherine Van derwerken. William C. Fadden married Jane M. Scott in 1809.1 William C. Fadden died on 15 July 1865 at Henderson, Sibley Co, Minnesota, at age 72.
William C. Fadden had enlisted for service during the War of 1812. He served as a Private in the Company commanded by Captain Hill in the Vermont Militia Men. He was released in the Fall of 1814.
His widow made claim in 1878 and indicated his birthplace as Albany NY, Height 5 feet 10 inch, light blue eyes, light complexion. She further states that she was married to William Fadden, at Alburg, VT on the 28th day of November 1809 by John Manning. She also mentioned her name before her marriage was Jane Scott. Jane Fadden also said they had resided at Sibley County, Minnesota since 1863, and that he died there.
