Harriet Belding was born on 9 March 1794 at Saint John, Saint John Co, New Brunswick.1 She was the daughter of Daniel Belding and Mabel Bristall. Harriet Belding married Thomas Maywell on 18 February 1818 at Saint John, Saint John Co, New Brunswick; Thomas Maywell (seaman) and Harriet Belding were "both of Lancaster". Witnesses were Samuel Belding and J. McLarty.2
