     Enoch Briggs Salls was born circa 1821.1 He was the son of Samuel Salls and Sarah Butler.1 Enoch Briggs Salls married Lovina C. Lillie on 4 June 1844 at W. Potsdam, St Lawrence Co, New York.2 Enoch Briggs Salls died on 15 January 1884 at Canton, St Lawrence Co, New York; "late Superintedent of the Poor, and a resident of St Lawrence County for 45 years, aged 62."3,4 He was buried.5
     He appeared on the census of 6 August 1860 at Potsdam, St Lawrence Co, New York; E.B. Salls, 39, b. Can, Louisa C., 36, Samuel A., 15, David L., 12, Lilie, 6, Carrie S., 3, and Sylvester Benjamin, 32, farm laborer.6
