     William Stewart Young was born on 4 November 1816 at Christie's Manor, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.1 He was the son of Johannes Young and Lydia Ann Covey. William Stewart Young was baptized on 31 May 1818 at Caldwell's Manor, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.2 He married Lydia Patterson, daughter of Frederick Patterson and Nancy May, on 25 January 1838 at Alburgh, Grand Isle Co, Vermont.3 William Stewart Young died on 16 July 1893 at Burke, Franklin Co, New York, at age 76; William died at the home of his son, Morris Young in Burke.4 He was buried at Sandy Knoll Cemetery, Chateaugay, Franklin Co, New York.5
     He appeared on the census of 1880 at Burke, Franklin Co, New York; William Young, 63, Lydia, 61, Moris, 26, Ida, 16 and her twin sister, Adda Ives, 16, along with granddaughter, Bertie L. Ives, 2 months.6
