Alpheus Brown appeared on the census of 1870 at Moira, Franklin Co, New York; Maria Tryon "Sauls", aged 62 was keeping house, and her mother Sarah Scott Tryon, then 82, was living with her. Also there were Alpheus Brown, 28, wife Sarah, 28 and son Alonzo, 7, and an Ida Clary, aged 14.2
