     Amos Lucas was born on 31 March 1803 at Quebec.1 He was the son of Daniel Lucas and Esther Scott.1 Amos Lucas was baptized on 12 February 1804 at Christ Church Anglican, Montreal, Montreal Co, Quebec; Sponsors were Js. Hall, proxy for "Theofules Mansfield" and Ann Hall, proxy for Jane Mansfield. This baptism serves to show positive connection of this family to Walter Scott. Although Theo and Jane Scott Mansfield were not present, they were the desired sponsors for this child.2,3
