     James Washington Atkins was born on 20 December 1870 at Warrensburg, Essex Co, New York.1,2 He was the son of William Henry Atkins and Melvina Covey.1 James Washington Atkins married Mina Mae Sherwood.3 James Washington Atkins died on 15 February 1949 at Wellsville, Allegany Co, New York, at age 78.2 He was buried at Stannards Cemetery, Wellsville, Allegany Co, New York.2
