     Malcolm II of Alba was born circa 954.1 He was the son of Kenneth II.2 Malcolm II of Alba died on 25 November 1034 at Glamis Castle, Glamis, Angus, Scotland; The king lists say that he died at Glamis, variously describing him as a "most glorious" or "most victorious" king. It has been said he was fighting "bandits" when killed by violence.1,3 He was buried at Iona, Argyllshire, Scotland.1
      Malcolm II of Alba was also known as Máel Coluim.
