Constantine I was the son of Kenneth MacAlpin.1 Constantine I died in 875 at Scotland; Constantine was killed fighting th eVikings at Inverdovat, near Newport-on-Tay, Angus. He was buried at Iona, Scotland.
Reigned over the Picts and the Scots 863-877. He became King upon the death of his uncle Donald. Constantine was faced with repeated attacks by the Vikings during his reign.1
