Llewellyn Craig1

M, b. 21 January 1834, d. 3 March 1889
     Llewellyn Craig was born on 21 January 1834 at Freeman, Franklin Co, Maine.1 He married Olivia Jane Covey, daughter of James Covey and Harriet Jane Brown, on 15 May 1865 at Springfield, Hampden Co, Massachusetts; Llewellyn Craig was a resident of Springfield, aged 31 and Olivia J, of Lowell, aged 25.2 Llewellyn Craig died on 3 March 1889 at Springfield, Hampden Co, Massachusetts, at age 55; Llewellyn was only 55 when he died of consumption.1,3 He was buried at Oak Grove Cemetery, Springfield, Hampden Co, Massachusetts.1
     Before the war, he worked as a mechanic/machinist. After the war, he worked for the Springfield Armony in Springfield, MA.
Llewellyn served in the Civil War from April 1861 to August 2,1861 enlisting from Lowell, MA.Company D, 6th MASS Infantry as a 3rd Lieutenant. He was injured when the train carrying the regiment to Washington was attacked by a successionist mob in Baltimore, and was mustered out on August 2.
By June of 1880 he was working at the Springfield Bed Mfg. Company in Springfield, Massachusetts.1
