     Martha H Squires was born on 1 August 1818 at New Brunswick.3,2 She was the daughter of Jabesh Caleb Squires and Martha Hammond.2 Martha H Squires married William Burton Cox on 26 December 1861 at , Woodstock, Carleton Co, New Brunswick; William Cox was of Perth, Victoria Co, New Brunswick, and Martha was of the parish of Kent, Carleton Co.4,5 Martha H Squires died after 1911 at probably Florenceville, Carleton Co, New Brunswick; Martha Cox was aged 93, a widower, lodging with the family of Bucher McCain.6,2
     She appeared on the census of 1901 at Kent, Carleton Co, New Brunswick; Martha was widowed, aged 82, and retired, living by herself.3
