     Julia Squires was born in July 1820 at New Brunswick.1,2 She was the daughter of Jabesh Caleb Squires and Martha Hammond.1 Julia Squires married Jacob Rideout, son of Oliver Rideout, on 18 November 1860 at Woodstock, Carleton Co, New Brunswick.3,1,4 Julia Squires died on 25 September 1905 at East Portland, Cumberland Co, Maine, at age 85; Julia was living with her daughter at the time of her death.5,1 She was buried at Castle Hill Cemetery, Castle Hill, Aroostook Co, Maine.6
     She appeared on the census of 1900 at Pittston, Kennebec Co, Maine; Julia M. Rideout, 79, was living with her daughter, Hattie Lewis, her husband George, and three of their granchildren by the last name of Burrill.2
