     Jacob Rideout was born on 8 January 1806 at Sheffield, Sunbury Co, New Brunswick.2 He was the son of Oliver Rideout.2 Jacob Rideout married Mary Kearney on 7 May 1831.2 Jacob Rideout married Julia Squires, daughter of Jabesh Caleb Squires and Martha Hammond, on 18 November 1860 at Woodstock, Carleton Co, New Brunswick.3,1,2 Jacob Rideout died on 14 August 1890 at age 84.2
     He appeared on the census of 1880 at Castle Hill, Aroostook Co, Maine; Jacob Rideout, 73, Julia A., 60, Noah, 34 and Hattie A, 18.4
