Cornelius Salmon1

Cornelius Salmon was born circa 1819 at England.2 He married Caroline Emily Squires, daughter of Jabesh Caleb Squires and Martha Hammond, on 24 July 1846.1 Cornelius Salmon died on 8 September 1868 at Saint John, Saint John Co, New Brunswick; "d. In this city, 8th inst., Cornelius Salmon, age 49, left wife, family. Funeral Friday 3 o'clock from his residence 15 Brussells St."2
The family may have lived in Saint John as a Cornelius Salmon was listed there as a clothier on Water Street in 1862 and on King Street in 1865.1 He appeared on the census of 1851 at Woodstock, Carleton Co, New Brunswick; Cornelius Salmon, 31, b. England, Mrs. Salmon, 24, ? (daughter), 4 and George, 2.3
