Count Herbert I of Vermandois was born circa 850 at France.1 He was the son of Count of Peronne Pepin II de Senlis. Count Herbert I of Vermandois married an unknown person. Count Herbert I of Vermandois died on 11 November 902; He was assassinated by a vassal of Baldwin II, Count of Flanders.
