     Sarah Elizabeth Tallman was born on 7 January 1854 at Quebec.2,1 She was the daughter of Gilbert Tallman and Emily J. Smith.1 Sarah Elizabeth Tallman married Edward Clark on 31 October 1874 at Algona, Iowa.3 Sarah Elizabeth Tallman died on 12 June 1928 at Humboldt, Humboldt Co, Iowa, at age 74; An obituary mentions she was born n Montreal, which, of course, is not true, but the rest gives valuable information.
"Sarah Elizabeth Tallman was born in Montreal, Canada, Jan. 7, 1854. At the age of 9 years she came west with her parents, settling in Wisconsin. In 1874 she was united in marriage to Edward P. Clark. They lived near Algona for a short time, and from there moved to Livermore, where they lived until the death of her husband in 1919. Since that time she has made her home with her children.
Mrs Clark is survived by two sons and three daughters: Sidney Clare Clark of Port Clinton, Ohio, Sarah Edna Clark of San Francisco, Calif., Mrs. Harry Notestine of Hardy, Iowa, Mrs. Arthur Saxton of Hardy, and Clyde Clark of Kalo, Iowa. Four children, Gilbert Claud, Freddie Prentiss, Edgar Percy and Cora Emily died, in childhood. There are ten grandchildren. One brother, Fred Tallman, also survives her.
May 29th she was taken suddenly ill, and on Friday, June 1, she was taken to the hospital, but could get no relief, and passed away on Tuesday, June 12th. Mrs. Clark lived a true Christian life, and her influence in the home and the community was always for the best.
Among the out of town folks who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Raney, Livermore, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Fitch, Mrs. Eva Potter, Mrs. Hattie Hartzel, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Clark, Britt; Mrs. Ulus Wilson, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Clark, Livermore; Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Clark, Kalo; Edna Clark, San Francisco."2
